Sead Haksabanovic has been forced to miss Celtic's match against Aberdeen due to injury, Ange Postecoglou has confirmed.
The 23-year-old Montenegro international was the recipient of the SPFL Premiership player of the month award for November earlier in the week but was conspicuously absent from the official teamlines at Pittodrie.
Hoops boss Postecoglou confirmed in the build-up to kick-off in the Granite City that Haksabanovic was injured during Friday's training session.
"He just picked up a knock at training yesterday, unfortunately," the manager told Sky Sports ahead of kick-off.
Portuguese winger Jota returned to the starting XI in place of Haksabanovic, joining recently-returned World Cup star Daizen Maeda and centre forward Kyogo Furuhashi as part of a three-pronged attack.
Elsewhere, Greg Taylor was restored to the team at left-back and Callum McGregor was given his first start since an injury-interrupted outing against RB Leipzig in October.
Celtic currently sit six points clear at the top of the Premiership with a view to restoring the nine-point lead they garnered going into the World Cup break.
The Dons, meanwhile, are third in the table with six home league wins from seven games.
