The Celtic B team will be allowed to compete in the Lowland League again next season after the SLL clubs voted in favour of including them as well as Rangers and Hearts B in the division for the 2023-24 campaign.
Stephen McManus and Darren O'Dea's Celtic B currently sit in second in the division - behind league winners The Spartans - with Rangers B five points behind in third and Hearts B in 13th position.
However, not every club was happy with the vote as East Stirlingshire took to social media to say that they had voted against the return of B teams.
A club statement read: "East Stirlingshire, alongside other SLFL clubs, has been asked to vote for the inclusion of B teams for season 2023-24.
"Together as a club, we will be voting no. As we look to build a new era for East Stirlingshire we want the foundation to be built on integrity, and support and to lead the way on sustainability.
"We as a club believe the proposed inclusion of B teams and the subsequent birth of a conference league, which we feel is being forced upon us, is not in the best interest of Scottish football and only highlights and benefits the might of the big clubs at the expense of the smaller club."
Meanwhile Celtic turn their attention to facing Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership at Parkhead this weekend and the Hoops are still homing in on setting a new goals record tally for any campaign.
The champions have struck 102 times and have scored in 31 of their 32 Premiership matches so far during this campaign. The 2-0 loss to St Mirren in Paisley back in September is the only time Ange Postecoglou's side has failed to bulge the net in a domestic league game.
Willie Maley's great Hoops side of 1915-16 side ended that campaign on 116 which is the club record that Postecoglou's team are chasing down.
The Hoops would now need to score 15 in their last six matches to surpass that historic landmark that has stood for 107 years.
