The wheels are in motion on a new era at Celtic.
Ange Postecoglu is implementing his style based on constant movement, possession and fluidity.
His team, two youthful starting elevens respectively, has won their first two pre-season friendlies against Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic and encouragingly Albian Ajeti has scored as well as youngsters Karamoko Dembele and Owen Moffat.
Against Sheffield Wednesday, our tactical analyst Craig Nisbet noticed Kerr McInroy pushing forward from central midfield and left-back Adam Montgomery wandering infield to give the Wednesday pressers an extra body to think about with regards to passing lanes.
McInroy and Euan Henderson would also drop deep into the half-space to collect the ball, sometimes from Ismaila Soro who would align himself with the centre-halves to start play.
In the win against the Addicks, it was Greg Taylor who became the extra body in midfield to give former Aberdeen striker Jayden Stockley cause for concern with regards to his press, giving him a second passing option to keep an eye on.
When Taylor does that, the other two central midfielders, let's say Callum McGregor and David Turnbull move further forward and the wingers pull wide.
The pass is made and the hope is a full-back can be isolated with a two-on-one.
