Joe Hart: The former England No.1 was beaten by Curtis Main's close-range strike in the 27th minute but was rescued by the assistant's flag. Came rushing out his goal to punch a cross away from the danger area early in the second half. That apart, the ex-Manchester City shot-stopper had absolutely nothing to do. 7

Anthony Ralston: The defender is clearly not spooked by the arrival of Croatian international Josip Juranovic as his first involvement was a defence-splitting pass to Liel Abada. He also missed a chance which by his very high standards of late he would probably have expected to score. The full-back is giving his all for the jersey and is playing at the top of his game and Juranovic has a fight on his hands for the starting shirt. 7

Stephen Welsh: The youngster continues to impress with every passing performance at the heart of Celtic's defence. He was completely cleaned out by Curtis Main at the restart but recovered sufficiently enough. Dovetailed neatly with defensive partner Starfelt and policed the Saints attacker well all afternoon. 7

Carl Starfelt: The Swedish internationalist did not put a foot wrong all afternoon although was rarely threatened by the St Mirren attack. He carried out his duty with great aplomb though and he was confident enough to venture forward at times and drive at the opposition, starting attacks. 7

Greg Taylor: The full-back has copped some flak recently but his pinpoint delivery was right on the money and he hung the ball up superbly for Abada to head home the second goal on 22 minutes. The Scotland defender galloped forward at will and offered a decent outlet down the flank for his teammates and was a standout, especially in the opening period. 8

Callum McGregor: The skipper curled two efforts wide of the target and cuts an inspirational, dependable and reliable figure in the engine room. Whilst the Scotland star was not at the hub of everything creative for Celtic he still plays with his head up and has a great eye for a pass and knows how to entertain. Unsurprisingly made way for Soro in 67 minutes. 7

David Turnbull: The midfielder cracked in a shot inside five minutes that smashed back off the post after being teed up by Abada. The Scotland star was then the victim of a shocking lunge by Alan Power that quite rightly earned his opponent the red card on 19 minutes. He wasn't to be denied though and he hit a vicious, swerving shot that screamed into the net for a killer third on 28 minutes. He volleyed home a fourth on 44 minutes and claimed a brilliant hat-trick on 84 minutes with a tidy clipped finish. 8

Liel Abada: The Israeli put the finishing touch on a fine football move on 17 minutes for the opening goal when the team recycled the ball many times. He cut inside and unleashed a lovely strike that eluded Jak Alnwick's grasp before he then headed home a quickfire second five minutes later to put Celtic 2-0 ahead. It was also his cross that led to Celtic's fourth goal for Turnbull. He is a dangerous threat and a throwback to a time when wingers would relish taking their man on. 8

Ryan Christie: Came back into the Celtic starting eleven at the expense of Tom Rogic and was always a willing runner down the channel. The midfielder also probed and prompted away and displayed his full repertoire of cute and intricate passing. The midfielder is a very clever player and he would leave a gaping hole in the midfield area if he were to depart and exit the club before the end of the month. 7

Odsonne Edouard: The Frenchman replaced James Forrest in the side and he hit the crossbar with an acrobatic effort on 36 minutes. The striker was deployed through the middle with Kyogo out on the left. English Premier League side, Crystal Palace is the latest club reputed to be interested in his services and it's evident that he has upped his game since the arrival of Kyogo and certainly looks more willing. Bagged the fifth goal with a clinical finish on 62 minutes. 7

Kyogo Furuhashi: The Japanese striker blazed an absolute sitter over the bar from two yards out in the first half after a superb cross from Abada and was denied a 'Magnificent 7' goals in seven appearances by Alnwick's foot in the second 45. He was played in a wider position in the first 45 and definitely looks more comfortable playing through the middle. He possesses razor-sharp speed and his spatial awareness is excellent but he is also prone to persistent fouling which he may have to monitor moving forward. 7

Ismalia Soro: Came on to replace captain McGregor on 67 minutes when the points were safely in the bag. 4
