Celtic handed German defender Moritz Jenz his competitive debut in the 3-1 win over Ross County. Here's how he got on...
First half
The German had very little to deal with defensively in the opening 45 - long throws aside - while his passing was generally crisp enough if predictable due to the deep Staggies setup.
Idolising Leonardo Bonucci as he does, it's no surprise he enjoyed the chance to attempt some raking cross-field forward passes but the Dingwall wind held those up a couple of times in the first half.
He wasn't as assertive in his carrying as central-defensive partner Cameron Carter-Vickers but that could partly have been attributed to the relatively left-side-heavy nature of Celtic's build-up restricting how much space there was for him to do so.
Second half
Jenz won a few aerial duels at the start of the second half but was perhaps guilty of ball-watching as Alex Iacovitti nodded in the equaliser from a corner.
After that, he settled into a flow much like his opening 45 in what was a positive enough competitive debut - although he did pick up a booking for bringing down Jordi Hiwula on the edge of the area in a brief moment of flat-footedness.
It is almost a given he will top the match stats in areas such as successful passes and touches but, in truth, much of that is down to the nature of the way the game unfolded, particularly in the first half.
The statistic that matters most, however, is that which data critics often point to: goals.
That the German was the one who rose to head home the crucial, decisive strike that earned Celtic the three points means his will be a debut forever listed in the 'good ones' column.
