Celtic target Mohamed 'Afsha' Magdy is still a wanted man.
Saudi Arabian side Al Batin remain in pole position to land the player but Glasgow has not been ruled out as a possible football destination for the 26-year-old.
Al Batin are an ambitious club who were promoted to the Saudi Professional League two years ago after winning the second-tier title.
While a £750,000 for a six-month loan is in place in principle but no deal has been concluded with the cash-rich side yet and the prospect of playing against Rangers in the world-famous Glasgow Derby is a carrot that Afsha is giving serious consideration to.
As exclusively revealed by The Celtic Way this week, the Egyptian is also mulling over six offers with Dutch and Swedish sides reputed to be in the transfer mix.
Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Besiktas as well as Saudi side Al-Ittihad have all been linked with Afsha in recent weeks and Sivasspor rejoined the list of potential suitors after a move for the player collapsed in the summer.
Meanwhile, Canadian full-back Alistair Johnston touched down in Scotland and was unveiled as a Hoops player at Parkhead.
The 24-year-old spoke well and cited manager Ange Postecoglou and former Montreal CF team-mate and ex-Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama as two of the main influences behind his move to the Hoops. The guys pick out their highlights from his Q+A.
Elsewhere, Celtic return to domestic football with a Scottish Premiership outing against Aberdeen on Saturday December 17.
The lunchtime kick-off in the Granite City will trigger a series of season-defining games for Ange Postecoglou's men.
The Hoops face the Dons ahead entertaining Livingston and St Johnstone on December 21 and Christmas Eve respectively. Easter Road then beckons on Wednesday December 28, before Celtic bring the curtain down on their festive fixtures with a trip to face Michael Beale's Rangers at Ibrox in what is shaping up to be a crucial Glasgow Derby on Monday January 2.
