How pleased are you with the result and performance tonight?

Yes. I am so happy. It was an outstanding performance and result. I think we got in the lead from a great ball in and a great header. We had some other chances in the first half and we just needed to play it a little bit quicker as we were a fraction slower on the ball than we would have liked. We had three touches instead of two because our touch and pass tempo is good when we get the rhythm in the game. We were strong in the first and I just reiterated a couple of things at halftime and wow what a second half! The greed and hunger of the players and the pressing and the counter-pressing and just the mentality of the team I was so proud of them. The quality of the goals was sensational.

What was reiterated at halftime? The team came out and pounced on the opposition.

You can see with the young players that the level they are at. It is that build-up with the Champions League and what that brings. We just try and be a little bit safe with your touch and your pass. We reiterated that we don't have to do anything special. Just be us. Just play our game. Don't complicate the game. There were a couple of things around positioning when it wasn't quite there. We played centre or backwards and not forwards and it was just a couple of elements like that. There were some really good pressing elements.

You ended the evening with five different goalscorers and you mentioned the quality of the goals. Does that show the squad depth that have at Celtic and how useful will it be in this league phase?

I had that when I was here the first time. In lots of teams I have had the goal contribution is shared though as we don't want to put the burden on one player. There is a mentality where the guys are very clear in what they have to do whether it is an attacking eight and the wingers and the strikers. They are such a selfless group who set each other up and you see the areas we want to get into and it is all about the quality of the delivery and the guys delivered it so well.
