CELTIC striker Kyogo Furuhashi has picked up a knee injury on international duty with Japan and could miss as many as seven games for the club, manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed.
The Japanese forward has hit the ground running since joining from Vissel Kobe in the summer and already has seven goals to his name in nine appearances.
However, Postecoglou will be without the striker's services for the foreseeable after Furuhashi fell to the floor in Tuesday's World Cup qualifier between Japan and China.
After undergoing medical examination, club doctors have estimated that the 26-year-old will be out of action for three or four weeks - meaning Furuhashi could miss as many as seven games for the Parkhead club.
Here are all the games Furuhashi is expected to miss:
Celtic v Ross County, cinch Premiership, Saturday 11 September
Real Betis v Celtic, Europa League, Thursday 16 September
Livingston v Celtic, cinch Premiership, Sunday 19 September
Celtic v Raith Rovers, Premier Sports Cup, Thursday 23 September
Celtic v Dundee United, cinch Premiership, Sunday 26 September
Celtic v Bayer Leverkusen, Europa League, Thursday 30 September
Aberdeen v Celtic, cinch Premiership, Sunday 3 October
An international break follows and Celtic will then travel to Motherwell on Saturday 16 October on league duty, by which time Furuhashi is expected to be fit.
