TWO goals from Kyogo Furuhashi sealed Celtic's 20th League Cup in style at Hampden.
The Japan international was a surprise inclusion in the starting XI after a spell out with injury while Ange Postecoglou also reinstated Tom Rogic, Greg Taylor and Mikey Johnston to the side.
As a result, Liam Scales, Anthony Ralston, Adam Montgomery and Nir Bitton dropped to the bench, although the latter ended up playing a huge role after David Turnbull's early injury-enforced withdrawal.
Here, The Celtic Way highlights some of the WyScout data from the game to give you a match report experience like no other.
Trendline/xG
The trendline (if you can discern it since WyScout has, rather frustratingly, used the same colour for both teams) chimes with the eye test of the first half - Hibs offered nothing in an attacking sense while Celtic chipped away without making any crucial breakthrough.
The second half illustrates the Hibees' increased attacking intent while the two late chances saw their value jump considerably.
Ultimately, the quality of finishing tells here as Hibs actually ended the game with a better xG value based on the chances they created.
Shots
Celtic took 17 shots with neither of Kyogo's goals in their top three chances. Those were rated as the Japanese striker's attempt just after half-time, Mikey Johnston's after the leveller and a late Tom Rogic shot.
Hibs, by contrast, took only seven attempts but four of those were classed as the best four opportunities of the match.
All of those came either directly or as a result of crosses and cornes and every shot Hibs got off was in close, central areas - not a feature of Celtics defensive play so far this season.
Possession, passing and positions
Celtic's pass map shows a clear shape and portrays the inverted full-backs strategy too. Kyogo's focal point was a welcome return, although Liel Abada did a decent job of replicating this against Ross County.
Conversely, Hibs's shape is notable for its lack of it.
In terms of key passes, Celtic played 10 with Rogic the top individual creator with three.
Pressing and defending
For PPDA, remember the lower the number the more effective your high press was.
In this instance, Celtic recorded their best return since the League Cup semi-final against St Johnstone which is an illustration of Postecoglou's influence growing to the extent his men perform in this manner on the big occasion.
This eagerness is further reflected in the Hoops' better recoveries per minute rate, with the ground and aerial duel maps below giving a flavour of where most of the match duels were contested.
