CELTIC are back in league action this weekend as Ross County head to Parkhead.

The Hoops sit three points clear at the top of the table and Ange Postecoglou will be desperate to extend that lead.

Today's Celtic news has centered on the upcoming Sydney Super Cup however, with reports there are doubts over whether the event - with a friendly against Rangers - will take place.

Here's today's news...

Celtic vs Rangers Sydney Super Cup 'doubt'

THE Sydney Super Cup involving both Celtic and Rangers may be in serious doubt, according to reports.

It's claimed "unresolved issues with the organiser" are ramping up behind the scenes after the plans for the friendly tournament were announced.

The lucrative November competition will see Rangers and Celtic head Down Under to play each other and A-League sides.

Rangers are due to play Western Sydney Wanderers, Celtic to face off against Sydney FC before the Glasgow derby.

Ange Postecoglou doubles down on Sydney homecoming

CELTIC boss Ange Postecoglou has spoken once again to back what will be a “special” homecoming for the Aussie boss in November.

Both Celtic and Rangers fans have expressed displeasure at the plan to play each other in a 'friendly' match on the other side of the planet before the Qatar World Cup.

The Sydney Super Cup will see the Hoops face an A-League team and Rangers but reports Down Under today suggest the tour may be in trouble.

That may see the Ibrox club, who have in particular been besieged by unhappy fans over the clash, pull out.

Celtic on the other hand, seem keen to press on with plans as Postecoglou waxed lyrical about the trip on the Hoops’ TV channel.

Kieran Tierney in touching gesture to fan

THIS is the moment that Scotland star Kieran Tierney made a young Arsenal fan very happy prior to their game with Liverpool last night.

The Celtic hero spent time with young Gunners fan Cameron at the Emirates on Wednesday evening.

Cameron has cerebral palsy. He is going into hospital for a big operation, so Arsenal's match with Liverpool was his last before that.

Cameron's trainer, Tony Smith, has appealed on social media in an effort to see if KT could meet the youngster, who is also a fan of Celtic.

And the left-back answered the call.

Tierney and Cameron exchanged shirts as the 24-year-old met with his family and signed memorabilia for him.
