ANGE POSTECOGLOU has provided an injury update on Tom Rogic after the Australian international had to pull out of his national team duties.
Rogic limped off against Ross County at the weekend following a challenge with Staggies defender Kayne Ramsay.
The midfielder was set to go on international duty with Australia, but instead, he will now remain in Glasgow ahead of the Scottish Premiership return.
Next up for Celtic is Rangers at Ibrox and Postecoglou has revealed that Rogic will be a major doubt.
He told Celtic TV: “We’ll see how it all transpires.
"Unfortunately he couldn’t go back and represent his country which was disappointing for him. He’s still sore.
"He probably won’t train this week and we’ll just assess how he goes in the week leading up to the next game.
“But suffice to say he was pretty sore after it. He probably could’ve been a helluva lot worse, but at the same time it’s enough to keep him out for the medium-term.”
