Everything Callum McGregor said to Celtic TV after Celtic's 2-1 Scottish Premiership victory over Rangers at Ibrox.
What an effort from the boys - how delighted and pleased are you with that?
It was first class. It took us a little bit to get going in the game and when you go 1-0 down here that is a difficult ask. I thought the boys started to find their feet more and we played through the press once or twice and we started to create some opportunities. Once you get the goal back everybody is starting to settle into the game and we go in 2-1 ahead at half-time. The second half is a huge effort from the boys without the ball in terms of covering spaces and covering each other. We spoke about that before the game that we would have to run hard for your team-mates today and that's exactly what we did. I thought we were reasonably comfortable in that mid-block as well where the ball was going wide and we were set up for the cross and ready to defend and two centre-backs alongside the two full-backs were outstanding.
It wasn't the best of starts but what is it about this team that they know how to fight and claw their way back?
We just rely on our principles and rely on our team shape. We do what the manager asks us to do. I think when you have a clear identity like that then even in the most difficult moments you start to gather your thoughts on where the game is and where you want it to be played. Initially, we went a goal down but once we start to calm the game down and start playing ourselves back into the game then we have that structure to fall back on. Then it is a case of everybody fighting for each other and we are desperate not to lose and even more desperate to win and that's where the magic happens and that's what you witnessed today.
Even in those moments when it was our backs to the wall we still pushed and had that quality in abundance to create, attack and go for goals - is that something the manager has instilled in this team?
Absolutely. We always want to play good football and play through the lines but sometimes you have to soak up pressure in the game and we have massive weapons in terms of our counterattack, we've got so much speed in the team, we've got so much quality. Young Liel Abada could have scored a double and finished the game off. That is the threat we carry and if teams want to come onto us then we still have that quality to go and hit them on the counter.
This is your first win at Ibrox as captain - how proud of you to lead this team?
I am super proud and you do not get many better days playing for Celtic and coming here and winning. To do it as captain for the first time is a huge one to tick off the list, I am super proud of the players, super proud of the management team and the fans as they never stopped singing. It was a real collective effort and this is what this team is built on.
What message have you got for the Celtic fans?
I hope they enjoy it. It was a brilliant day. We just continue to work and nobody is getting carried away. We will come back in tomorrow, recover and go again at the weekend and we just keep our feet on the floor.
