Everything that Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou said to the media ahead of Sunday's match against Ross County in Dingwall...

Can you give us an injury update?

Injury wise Josip Juranovic is the most significant and he will miss the weekend. The others who went off with a combination of cramps and knocks will be fine for Sunday.

What has the message been this week as there was disappointment in the cup but as you said after the game last week you are five games away from the biggest prize in Scotland?

No, our message this week has been the same as every other week as we analyse our performance and the result was disappointing but we do our analysis and move on pretty quickly as we know there is another game coming around. We had no midweek games and that meant we could train a bit more and after extra time some of the body needed an extra couple of days in terms of recovery. It was a less intense earlier in the week and we were back working hard for the weekend.

You have been unbeaten domestically for a long time are you confident that you can pick yourselves up straight away in the league and start winning again?

From our perspective, nothing has really changed whether we won or lost last week. Our processes will still be the same and that was to give feedback to the guys about our previous games' performance and move on pretty quickly. We have done that all year and it has been a similar week I understand the result was disappointing last week and we are out of the cup but ultimately in terms of the league, nothing really changed for us. There are five games to go and every game is going to present its own little challenge and we have just got to be ready for it.

The challenge this weekend is Ross County are you expecting a really stubborn game and tight affair again given what happened in December when Tony Ralston scored a 97th-minute winner?

You go back to a specific point in time but we have played them since then. You can always go back to a certain point in time and use that as a reference point but our reference point is how we have been playing and we have been very consistent for a long period of time. We know its a challenge as every game is a challenging home and away and Ross County have been fantastic, especially the second half of the year Malky Mackay has done an enormous job with them to get them into the top six and we knew that the last time we played them at home. We will be ready for it as they will be a tough opponent but we just want to continue our form which has been pretty consistent.

Can I just check on Josip - how long do you expect him to be out?

It is hard to say as it is one of those where the injury hasn't really settled down yet and it is fair to say that he will be out for a couple of weeks and after that, we are going to see how he recovers.

In terms of pressure and having lost last weekend how are the players dealing with the pressure of the season drawing to a close with the countdown on in terms of games left in the season?

I understand that is where the kind of mindset is outside here but within our group, we have never approached the season in that manner if we did then after round six the pressure would have been really on. We knew we had to more or less be fairly perfect after that to make sure we were in a position to challenge for the league. That is where we are now, we are in that position and we have five games to go and we are in a strong position in terms of the table and a strong position in terms of our performance and that is all we need to focus on. I don't think anything else needs to become important from a player's perspective and what they feel and the way they behave. I haven't seen any significant changes and they will be disappointed after last week but irrespective of the result it did not change our challenge this week as it is a different competition with different objectives.

What is Giorgos Giakoumakis's situation and will he be available?

Yes, he will be available. He trained earlier in the week and then integrated into the squad sessions and he is ready to go.

Following last week's defeat did you have to lift the players or was there a natural determination within them to put things right?

No. I think my role is to give the players feedback after every performance and result - good, bad or otherwise. I have felt all along with every setback we have had and there have been quite a few of them the players have embraced every challenge and I didn't sense within the group that there was any hangover from the result. We got back into training and they are disappointed of course but at the same time, they understand that what needs to happen after a result like that is that you put your energies in a positive way into the next game. The next game is Ross County at the weekend and I haven't felt the need to lift them up or sensed a change in the mood. They have been a determined, resilient group all year and that is what I continue to see.

That resilience that you talk about does that stand you in good stead for the run-in?

That is what you rely on and you hope you have created an environment where the players embrace the challenges that lie ahead. We have had challenges all along. The players have been under that sort of pressure six games into the season and what we have tried to do is create an environment where they block out all that stuff and concentrate on what's important. What is important is your performance coming into a game so that previous form and where you are in terms of your position in the table is irrelevant. That resilience has been there all year and at this important part of the season that is what you have to rely on and that the environment you have created will overcome any extra pressures, there may be.

Giakoukamis coming back to full fitness and Kyogo getting a run out how pleased are you that the two of them could be back in business as you have not had both of them fit for a while?

That is pleasing. We have kind of had one or the other available all season. Having them both available in the last five games is good because we will need them both in these last five games. They provide different options for us upfront against different oppositions and they are both quality players who have scored goals in this league from that perspective, it is good to have them both available. With Kyogo last week he probably got more game time than we thought he would because of extra time but he came through it really well and Giakoumakis has only missed a week and hasn't needed to top up in terms of fitness and he is ready to go as well.

Are you surprised by the reaction to a defeat at Celtic compared to some of the other places you have managed?

I am not surprised. It is entirely natural and logical and understandable. I am under no illusion that people will feel good or oaky after losing a game. It was the semi-final of the cup and an opportunity to get to a final against our biggest rivals and I think it's only natural and it is a healthy thing as that is what maintains standards at this football club. People have the highest expectations and they want to be successful and that is fine but it doesn't mean that I have to react to that.

My role is to steer people through what is important to us in the short term because what I do know is that come Sunday is that all the supporters will be behind us 100 per cent and they will want us to do well. In terms of the people who are assessing our performance from a critical standpoint, they have every right to pick us apart and do what they feel is necessary in terms of appraisal. It doesn't affect me or it shouldn't affect the players as the only feedback they should think about is mine. Nobody is as honest about that when it comes to the way we are performing.

Do you expect all the pressure to be on Celtic on Sunday as Ross County have made the top six and achieved what they set out to do this season?

It could also mean that they play a little bit freer which makes them a dangerous opponent and I don't know Malky well but the way he has worked for that team through the season he will be pushing them to finish up as high as possible in the league. It is pretty tight from 4th to 6th and they will be a difficult opponent and every game will have its own little challenges. When we play our football and we show the right intensity and tempo in the game then we are hard to stop whether it's home or away.

I am currently reading your book at the minute and in it, you talk about the influence of your dad and Ferenc Puskas. I wanted to ask you what would your Dad and Ferenc Puskas make of the current Celtic team? Can you still hear your dad moaning and would Puskas be a bit more proud?

Yeah, it would probably be a bit of both but my dad would be moaning in a positive sense. I think both would appreciate what they see not because of me. Both wanted their football teams to play in a certain manner with a certain intent and this group of players have shown that courage and bravery that you need every week to go out there and try and be as aggressive as possible in your approach which is not easy to do. It requires a lot of hard work and there is a lot of intestinal fortitude to put yourself out there and sometimes like last week stumbling along the way because of the kind of football team you want to be.

So I think both my dad and Ferenc Puskas the one thing espoused was to never be afraid of stumbling or failing if you are going about things in a certain way and that is why I am really proud of this group of players and staff because they kind of embraced this challenge and embraced it in a way I really love and they have been prepared to take the knocks along the way. You won't find us making an excuse or feeling sorry for ourselves this season or trying to take away the responsibility that lies upon us to be the team we want to be. From that point of view, I would like to think my dad and Ferenc Puskas would be proud of what they see and probably tell me that we could be better.

You hear a lot about how football is governed by sports psychology. What is your football/sports psychology especially when it comes to bouncing back after a defeat?

You have always got to have something to aspire to. I have often said if your full focus is on wins and losses then you are kind of that the mercy of something that is outwith your control. You can lose games of football with endeavour and intent by doing the right things. You can win games of football walking away knowing that you haven't performed at a level. For me, it has always been about creating a team and a group of people that are seeking something beyond the wins and losses. For me particularly with this football club is that we want to be a team that plays the game a certain way and it is not easily attainable maybe it is never attainable the way I want us to play because I will always seek improvement.

When you have that as your goal then a loss shouldn't derail your efforts and commitment to a cause. If you let a loss derail you then you will let a win derail you also. Success and failure have equal demons within them. Sometimes success means you get complacent and you start thinking about yourself rather than the team and you start thinking you are more important than the sum of the whole parts. All those kinds of things for me are part of the psychology of what we are trying to do here. We want to be a certain kind of football team that our supporters are proud of and the club is proud of and play the game in a certain way and with that be successful. That being our end goal then the hits we get along the way like last week just gives us an opportunity to get back on our feet and go again.

How do we deal collectively with the tension and excitement that the next few weeks are going to bring in what might be a crazy ride?

Just treat it like you are on the ride of the scariest rollercoaster you have ever been on mate. You hope that it all ends well but enjoy the ride and the ups and downs. It is part of the nature of embracing the concept that we want to play our football a certain way and be a certain kind of team. I don't think it's unhealthy for people to feel anxious or nervous as that is why we love it. I'm sure people would say if you could guarantee us winning the next five games then everybody will be happy but do you know what I reckon they would be a little bit bored as they'd probably lose interest after a while. The excitement of football and sport and supporting a team is a little bit of the unknown and we are on the edge.

That is what you gain and when you get the success you deserve then you enjoy it so much more because you have had to be white-knuckled all the way through it. You will remember that and you will remember the highs and the lows. The last thing I want is for my supporters to be flatling and just capping at the end of the game and going home. I am sure it has been a tough week for our supporters and we understand that and take responsibility for that but I know the players and everyone involved in the football club want to make our supporters feel better about themselves in the coming weeks. I am not guaranteeing you anything mate but hopefully, when you get off the ride at the end you will think it has been worth it.

Anton McElhone has had a positive impact on the sports science department what are your thoughts on the progress on that front and are there any other additional staff members in the pipeline who could come in during the summer and help take Celtic to the next steps?

We are always looking to improve areas and my focus when I got the position was that the team needed a rebuilding job. I had to make sure that we had a side that was competitive this year. I said after a trophyless season last year we had to have success this year and that is just how I felt. My total focus was on getting a team and an environment that would give us a chance for success anyway. Now I feel that there are areas that we can continually look to improve the club and sports science was one area where we bulked up and player welfare was another where we brought people in to help players on and off the field.

All these things are there to help make us a better club and in the off-season, there will be others now that I have the time where we can make adjustments and improvements. There are still areas where we can better and the club has been very supportive. I tend to be fairly meticulous and in some respects, people feel that I should move a bit quicker but I just like to get things right and I haven't rushed these decisions and I haven't brought people in for the sake of it. I will bring people in that I believe can add to a strong group of players and staff and we will do that over the next couple of months Michael (Nicholson) and the board have been very supportive on that and they are leaving it to me and whatever I have asked for so far I have received and I think that will continue.
