ABERDEEN are hoping to bring Celtic defender Liam Scales to Pittodrie this summer window, according to reports.
The former Shamrock Rovers man moved to Parkhead last summer on a four-year deal but has failed to cement his spot as a first-team regular.
Now the Scottish Sun report that Jim Goodwin is keen to bring him to Aberdeen to strengthen his defensive options.
Any possible deal in this window would likely be a loan move with a possible option to buy included.
Meanwhile, Celtic have agreed on a deal with Benfica to take winger Jota to Parkhead on a permanent basis.
However, the transfer is still up in the air with Hoops chiefs locked in talks with the Portuguese winger over personal terms.
The Daily Record report that wages and length of contract are the issues forcing the deal to stall after a fee of £6.4million was agreed with Benfica.
Despite this, it is understood Jota wants the deal done and Celtic are confident they will get the move over the line.
