Every word Johnny Kenny said to Celtic TV after the 7-0 win against SC Wiener Viktoria...
How did it feel to get your first couple of goals for Celtic?
Yeah, it’s been good, good to get out on the pitch with the first team for the first time, and obviously top it off with two goals and a seven-nil win. So, it’s been a good start to pre-season, but we keep going.
Talk us through the two goals: the first one you kind of got in at the back post and tapped it in, the second one a bit more of an instinctive finish...
The first one Mikey did well, I’ve played with him before, and I knew he’d find me at the back post and luckily he did. For the second one, Bernabei whipped it in, got a bit lucky but had to be alive to finish it first time.
How do you find the pre-season so far - the intensity, getting back, trying to win the ball quickly – is that something the managers really been pressing the team in the opening stages of this season?
Yeah, the gaffer wants us to press high and get after teams up the top end of the pitch. Because that’s where if we can capitalise on the press we can get goals from it. Yeah, it’s been good the gaffer really likes his press, so we go for it.
How has it been for you personally being in this training camp with the first team – just talk us through the intensity levels that you’ve found and how difficult it’s been...
Yeah, the intensity levels are sky-high, and it’s been very tough but very enjoyable at the same time, you’re learning of Kyogo, Giako [Giakoumakis], and Albian [Ajeti], so you can’t go far wrong.
