Everything that Ange Postecoglou said to Celtic TV after the 3-3 pre-season friendly draw against Rapid Vienna...
Three goals for either side, how do you assess that 90-minute performance?
It was a good game. It didn't feel like a friendly game. Both teams were going at it and it is exactly what you need. Sometimes friendly games can be a bit passive but I thought in both halves both teams were going for it and it was a competitive contest.
It really was a competitive game of football in front of quite a noisy crowd and that has to be a benefit to the squad with three weeks to go until the start of the season?
Exactly. It felt like a real game. Whenever you play away from home, particularly in Europe it is always a bit of a challenge. For us, it was a great exercise and we did well in some parts but in others, we obviously need to improve. Overall the key thing for me was that it was a good contest.
It was the first opportunity for the boys who were away on international duty to get some football, how do you reflect on their performance and conditioning at this stage of the season?
As it should be. It is still early as they have only been with us for a week and today was going to be a good challenge against an opponent who has had a couple of more weeks of preparation than us. Again that is what we need to do, we need to expose all the boys to real football and real match pressure because we want to make sure that in three weeks' time we are ready.
Despite only being the second week in pre-season we did see some moments of quality, particularly in the goals that we scored that must have been so pleasing for you?
As I said there were some positive moments and some areas to improve. Again you only find that out if it is a good game and I thought for us that was the main thing as we have got stuff we can take out of that game and work on and give feedback to the boys both positive and stuff that we need to reinforce to improve. Sometimes these friendly games become a little bit meaningless but today was a good one.
