AARON MOOY is closing in on a move to Celtic after turning down options in the English Championship.
The former St Mirren midfielder has not played football since January after exiting Chinese Super League giants Shanghai.
But now Mooy looks set to link up with fellow countryman Ange Postecoglou as he gears up for an important few months ahead of the World Cup in November.
The ex-Brighton and Huddersfield man is hopeful that a move to the Scottish champions will give him valuable game time to stake his place for the Qatar tournament.
Mooy's move has been widely reported and it is understood that he has turned down English Championship interest in favour of the Hoops.
