Celtic starlet Rocco Vata has impressed Celtic's senior players with a top-class pre-season, according to impressed veteran winger James Forrest.
Ange Postecoglou is known to demand a punishing level of physical intensity in his sessions that might leave youngsters struggling to keep up, but 17-year-old Vata has stood tall amid the challenge.
And Forrest, who knows a thing or two about what it takes to make a splash as a Celtic attacker, has taken the time to single out the son of former Celtic star Rudi as someone who can be proud of their summer's work.
He said: “He looks really well. He’s adapted to our training right from the start of pre-season. I think he’s only just turned 17 but physically, he looks ready. He’s in good shape and is quick.
“You obviously don’t want to put too much pressure on him but I think he’s a confident boy. It’s maybe benefitted him being up training with us right from the start with first team players. He’s looked sharp and in some of the pre-season games.”
