Celtic are interested in Marseille forward Bamba Dieng, according to reports from French outlet Homme Du Match.

The player has recently been exiled from training by new boss Igor Tudor and is apparently looking for a move away from the former Champions League winners.

Another publication in France, L'Equipe, has claimed the fallout is due to tensions flaring between players and the manager.

This could provide Ange Postecoglou's side with an opportunity to make a swoop for the Senegalese international.

The 22-year-old can play off either flank or as a striker and would be another boost to the Hoops' attacking options ahead of their return to Europe's top competition for the first time since 2017.

Dieng has scored nine goals in 42 games since joining Marseille from Diambers in his homeland two years ago.

However, with reported interest from Premier League sides such as West Ham and Leeds, it may be challenging for the Bhoys to tempt the striker to Scotland.

There is also the issue of the reported £10 million transfer fee that the French side would be looking for if they are to sell the attacker.

This would break Celtic's transfer record, which was set when Odosonne Edouard signed from PSG in 2018 for £9 million.
