GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS is thrilled to have been given his own song by the Celtic support - however he revealed he's less excited to hear his team-mates singing it in training.
The Parkhead forward is a favourite among Celtic fans after joining the club last season and loves having his own tune from the support.
Giakoumakis received a rendition of his song as he entered the field against Ross County on Saturday with fans changing the words to 99 Red Balloons by Nena.
And on hearing his chant, Giakoumakis told the Celtic View podcast: “I love it whenever they sing my song.
"I just love it. I just enjoy it. As I said before, it is something that I will always remember it."
But Giakoumakis went on to explain that his team-mates have been teasing him by performing their own renditions of the song at the training centre.
The Greek striker explained: “This song, sometimes, when we’re celebrating in the training centre with my teammates, they make fun of me.
"We don’t have it on the stereo, but they sing on their own."
Giakoumakis ended last season tied for top goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership with a number of goals coming against now team-mate Benji Siegrist.
The striker netter on a handful of occasions against the former Dundee United keeper and told that he had joked about scoring against him when first meeting him after his summer move.
Opening up on the light-hearted - but savage joke - with his new team-mate, Giakoumakis said: "When we first signed him and I met him here I said 'Oh yes, you are my favourite goalkeeper. I've scored the most goals.'
"He said 'That's why they signed me because they tried to make you feel happy and confident!'"
