Shakhtar Donetsk director of football Dario Srna has vowed to 'fight to the last' in the club's Champions League group.
The Ukrainians are one of three foes Celtic will face in Europe's premier competition alongside defending champions Real Madrid and German side RB Leipzig.
“There are no easy groups in the Champions League but we will fight to the last," Srna, who played against Celtic in 2004 and 2007 while Shakhtar captain, told the club's official website.
"Real Madrid is, of course, Real Madrid. We already played Celtic 15 and 18 years ago. Leipzig are a good team.
"Let’s put it this way: it could have been worse, it could have been better.
“Leipzig, like us, did not start too well: they have two points in three games. Celtic I haven’t watched, but Real Madrid is Real Madrid. Let’s analyse.”
Celtic will not have to travel to Ukraine amid the war with Russia as Shakhtar will instead play their home matches in Warsaw, Poland.
Srna added: "Unfortunately, there will not be full stands in Ukraine but I am sure there will be in Warsaw.
"Many of our fans, Ukrainians, will come. They deserve, like all of Ukraine, that we demonstrate good, bright football, so that they get pleasure from our game.
"We have a young team, a new coach. The most important thing is to enjoy the games that are waiting for us."
