TONI KROOS has handed a warning to Celtic by insisting his Real Madrid side are just as good on the road as they are at the Bernabeu.

Celtic open their Champions League campaign next week with a glamour tie against the European champions in Glasgow.

Real Madrid continued their perfect start to the season at the weekend with a win at Espanyol and have now won all four games this season including the European Super Cup.

All four of those games have come away from home and German ace Kroos reckons they are just as comfortable on their travels as they are in Madrid as he hailed Karim Benzema's late double which won them the game.

Kroos said: "We have now won three La Liga games away from home and the Super Cup too and it shows we are comfortable when we are not in Madrid too.

"When you play away from home, there are moments you will have to suffer and the home side pressurise you. But we are very good at realising when the opposition begins to tire and targeting that. I think you could see Espanyol were tiring and we dominated towards the end.

"It's very important to start the season well both in the league and in Europe.

"Karim Benzema did it again for us. He doesn't care about winning individual prizes, all he cares about is helping the team and he's done it again here."
