CELTIC are reportedly closing in on signing Oliver Abildgaard in a deadline day transfer.
It's claimed club chiefs are finalising a deal to bring the defensive midfielder to Parkhead from Russian club Rubin Kazan.
If a deal is completed then he would become the third player from the club to join Celtic under Postecoglou after Carl Starfelt and Sead Haksabanovic.
Football Scotland report that the 26-year-old has been keen on a move all summer.
And the outlet claim he will be announced officially tonight so long as his medical is completed without a hitch.
Should Abildgaard complete his move then he'd become Celtic's ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
Postecoglou moved quickly to secure the services of loan stars Daizen Maeda, Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer.
He also agreed transfer moves for Haksabanovic and Alexandro Bernabei.
Moritz Jenz joined the club on an initial loan with an option to buy from FC Lorient in Ligue 1.
And Aaron Mooy and Benjamin Siegrist were picked up as free agents at Parkhead.
Quizzed on a move for Abildgaard last night, Postecoglou said: “It's definitely a name.
"There has been a lot of names.
"Obviously, there are still 24 hours to go and some outgoings we are still working on as well.
"We will see how things fall over the next 24 hours."
