Everything Joe Hart had to say ahead of Celtic's game against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Just how crucial does this game feel tomorrow night?

No more crucial than the other ones. It is a busy competition where you feel like every game is a huge game. We are looking forward to it.

Is the general feeling in the squad that you have been happy with the performances so far and that it has been little details and fine margins that mean you are where you are at the moment?

We obviously can't claim to be happy because we are not in the position that we want to be, but we've applied ourselves, and we've put our stamp on the games ultimately, we want to go that one step further, and we intend to do that tomorrow night.

Is that the most important thing to make sure you get the right result to leave it open going into the final game?

Yes. That's not going to take away from how we want to do it and how we approach it. We are going to approach it in the same kind of aggressive way. We play to win any game. That'll be no different in this one.

Do you feel that your performances have deserved more and if so, would you like to transform that into points in the last home match of the Champions League group?

I think in this competition you get what you deserve. As I said we have competed but ultimately, we have lost three and drawn one. The league will at the end of it show us where we should be. There's no doubt or getting away from the fact that we have been well and truly in games, and we have had chances to take control of those games. It is not about the chances you create it is about the goals you score at the top level. It couldn't be any more evident in our campaign so far.

How important is staying in European competition to you and the club, if you do win tomorrow that still gives you the possibility of the Europa League?

Personally, my feelings don't come into it. It is important for the team and the club to be in Europe for as long as we can. We want to make an impression, a good strong impression and represent the club how we feel it should be. I don't think it has been through any lack of effort or lack of good intention, and that will be no different when we roll out tomorrow night.

You have put in some great performances and not been able to get the wins. Do you owe the fans a win tomorrow night?

We are one. We have represented this club as best we can in all of the games. That's been appreciated, and we have also been supported superbly. We work together, and we win, and we lose together. At the moment we are winning more than we lose, but this competition is very important to this club. The nights are special, they really are, and we want to give back to this club. I think the supporters of this club understand what we are putting in and that we are doing our best and will continue to do that.

Jota has been named in the provisional Portugal squad for the World Cup. How much do you think he deserves to play on a stage like that?

I don't know enough about the Portuguese national team to comment on where he sits in their rankings or if he should or shouldn't be called up. All I know is when he pulls on a Celtic shirt, he's been phenomenal. He gets people on their feet and he's a great teammate. So that news (Jota's call-up), I didn't know that, so I'm really pleased to hear that for him. But I'm sure his focus won't be on the World Cup quite yet.

Can you give us an insight into what it is like to play in the Champions League and maybe explain a bit about how this season can prepare you for future campaigns?

That is all in the future what you are talking about in terms of future campaigns. We have to qualify for this tournament first and foremost. That will take care of itself. We cannot progress at the moment, but in terms of the experience of the group, it is a good experience. I have personally been through the tournament a few times. The club has not been in the Champions League for five years. When I first started at Man City, we had not been in the Champions League. We had a good domestic team, but when you make the step up into Europe, it is different. Celtic as a club belongs in the Champions League, but this group of players is coming up against squads that are used to the competition. There is no real secret. There are some fine margins, and it is not necessarily down to experience in terms of the reason we have not progressed. The opposition has just managed to seize their moments.
