Former Celtic defender Christopher Jullien's fortunes are on the slide with new side Montpellier.
The Frenchman departed Parkhead in the summer after two seasons following a lengthy spell out injured. He won a domestic treble with the club in 2019-20.
Earlier in the season, Montpellier were keeping pace with Ligue 1's best sides and looked like an outside shot for a tilt at the European football places.
Jullien started well, winning on two of his first three appearances, but since mid-September results have taken a turn for the worse.
Montpellier have won just once in their last 10 matches, losing seven and earning their only other points in last week's draw with Clermont and Sunday's 1-1 draw against Reims with Jullien playing every minute of the run.
After 15 games they have slid to 14th place in the table and sit just a point above the drop zone.
The Frenchman spent over a year out injured before leaving Celtic, which he has previously stated tested him greatly.
He said: "You learn a lot about yourself, especially mentally. It pushes your limits, you have to be patient with your body. After around five months, it starts to feel like a long time... it's really difficult.
"Sometimes there comes a time in your life when you have to make big decisions and the one I took [to leave] I do not regret in any way.
"I had incredible moments - finals, European matches - so I do not regret my time there and I am happy to have left with my head held high.
"The staff and the fans know I gave my all while I was there."
While with the Hoops, Jullien famously scored a League Cup final-winning goal against Rangers and was also on target in a notable win over Lazio in Europe.
