Everything that Aaron Mooy said to the media ahead of the Celtic v Ross County clash.

You have been named in Australia's World Cup squad how much are you looking forward to going and being a part of that?

Yeah, I am definitely looking forward to it. I am very proud to be selected for the squad. It is an opportunity that does not come around all that often as it's only every four years that there is a World Cup, and there are no guarantees that you are going to be at a World Cup. It's a very special thing and I am looking forward to it a lot.

How much has joining Celtic and playing Champions League football helped with that selection?

Celtic's a massive club. It's a big challenge to be at Celtic and the supporters are very demanding as they want wins and good football. It's a good place to be at if you want to improve and push yourself. It definitely helps to play at a club like this in getting a look in with the national team.

How is the mood in the camp and are your teammates excited for all the guys that are heading to the World Cup?

Everyone is happy and bubbly all the time and it is a good group to be around. Everyone has been wishing me and the other lads well. We've had a very busy schedule and had so many games recently, and we have just been focusing on the games really one by one. Tomorrow is the last one of this stage against Ross County. We are focused on that. In general, it's a happy bunch.

How important will it be for that bunch to keep the spirits high by ending this stage on a high by getting a good result against Ross County?

It is not going to be easy, as whenever a team plays Celtic they want to beat them. We know that. We also want to play well for our fans and nothing is different for tomorrow. It's another important game and there are points on the line. We have to put in a good performance to take all the points.

Celtic Way:

There are seven Australian internationalists playing in the Scottish Premiership has it been good to have all of those guys playing here and playing against them and has the league been getting a lot of coverage back home because of it?

There are lots of Aussies playing in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and it's good to see some familiar faces every few weeks. Once we play each other we are not really thinking about that we are just fighting for our clubs. The league is a good league and there are lots of young players getting opportunities in Scotland. I think that is great for our national team because it's a competitive league and it's tough, and it can only help.

The manager said that you will get better recently as you have not had a pre-season and you were not training with a club. Do you feel you are getting better having played a lot of games in the last wee while?

I agree. The more football you play the more comfortable you feel. You start to get in a rhythm. Hopefully, all of these things will happen and I can continue to improve and help the team in any way I can.

Just looking at the game against Ross County and there is renewed confidence in them as they have won their last two matches. What does Celtic expect from them tomorrow?

It's going to be a tough game. We have played them away twice and we've put in good performances, but they are coming to Celtic Park and going to fight and give everything and we have to be ready and try and play our football and play at our best and give ourselves the best chance to take the points.

It's been a very congested fixture schedule and you are off to the World Cup does that help you in a way playing more games and keeping that momentum going?

You are a footballer and you want to play football matches and I'm no different; the more games, the more opportunities to get out on the field and to get into your rhythm and I am happy to get minutes on the field. It leaves me in good stead for the World Cup.

How much will your Champions League experience help you in the World Cup when you come up against teams like France in Qatar?

Yeah, it helps. In the Champions League, you are obviously playing against the top teams in the world. You understand that you are not always going to be dominating the ball. Sometimes you are going to have to be resolute defensively. I've had experiences before in my career where we have played against top nations, playing against top teams in the English Premier League. The World Cup is a special thing, and hopefully, we can surprise a few people and get some points.

What are your ambitions in Qatar and what are your ambitions for Celtic this season?

I want to play my heart out and try my best. That's all I ever try and do. I want to soak it all in and enjoy it. I'm getting older now and I don't have much longer with the national team or Celtic as well. I am just trying to enjoy football, and whatever happens, I will just give my best.

Has your mindset changed since being selected for the World Cup or has your focus been solely on Celtic?

Everybody knows the World Cup is coming and you have it in the back of your head. I don't like to think about it much as I am at Celtic and there are games every three days and they are important. The fans expect wins and good football, so I have to be fully focused on that. The World Cup is coming and when it gets closer to the squad announcement it starts to feel emotional. That's out of the way, and we have got a game tomorrow that I need to focus on if I am involved and give my best.

It has been you, Reo Hatate and Matt O'Riley in midfield what do you like about playing with those two players in particular?

In the games I have played I think we have done well recently. There are lots of good players at Celtic and anyone can play. I just try to link up as well as we can with each other. There are so many talented players in the squad, and Matty and Reo are having great seasons and they are playing at a high level. All the other boys are pushing each other to try and help the team.
