Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has slammed Scotland's 'amateur' referees.
The Englishman did not mince his words when discussing recent VAR decisions in games involving the Hoops.
Ange Postecoglou's men have asked for clarity over the decision to flag winger Jota's recent goal against Motherwell as offside, and the ex-Premier League winner highlighted this incident among the many when criticising the Scottish officials.
Speaking on BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra, he said: "I've not had a problem with Scottish referees throughout my playing days into my media career, I've always backed the referee in Scotland! I don't moan about them.
"I have an issue with VAR. I'm not surprised. This should've waited until the end of the season if there were teething problems to make sure everything was right.
"Starting halfway through the season was absolutely bonkers.
"I'm not surprised that they're getting a lot of things wrong.
"I think the point a lot of managers are making is that VAR is allowing referees to re-referee the game and that isn't what it was brought in for.
"There are so many issues. Ian Maxwell said it would be utter chaos - and he was right.
"Scottish referees are amateurs, and this isn't a slap in the face for them."
