Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson reckons Josip Juranovic could be the perfect fit for his former club.
The Celtic full-back is expected to leave the club in January with a number of top European clubs reportedly ready to swoop for his signature.
Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea have already been quoted as interested and Robinson hopes his former club join the negotiation table.
It is understood Celtic are braced for bids for Juranovic, especially given his performances at the World Cup for Croatia.
Robinson said: "The right-wing back position is clearly an area that Antonio Conte is unhappy with. The Tottenham fans are not happy too.
"Emerson Royal is very inconsistent, Matt Doherty has been in and out of the side. Conte will be looking at Josip Juranovic after his performance against Canada, but Conte wants might want more of a specialised wing-back."
On the flip side, Celtic are already looking for possible replacements for Juranovic and a deal for Canadian international Alistair Johnston is reportedly close.
It has been reported that a £3million transfer deal has been agreed upon between Celtic and Johnston's current club Montreal.
The defender featured as both a right-back and on the right side of a back three for his country at the tournament.
Johnston only moved from Nashville SC to Montreal in December last year in a deal worth £800,000 but is ready to make the switch to European football.
It comes after Johnston revealed he was "honoured" to be linked with a move to Celtic in the New Year.
"To be linked with a club like Celtic is something all young footballers would be excited by," said the Canadian defender.
"It is one of the most passionate fan bases in the world if not the most passionate fan base.
"It is a club that even people who do not follow football know who they are.
“It’s an honour. Just being linked with them, my phone’s been blowing up.
“It nearly put my phone out of commission, halfway through a World Cup.”
