The SPFL has confirmed some key dates for next season.

Celtic's 2023-24 Premiership campaign will kick off one week later than the current term, on the weekend of August 5 and 6. The Championship, League One and League Two all begin on the same weekend.

Following consultation with clubs the top flight will take a two-weekend winter break after fixture round 22 on Tuesday January 2, the usual date of the new year Glasgow Derby.

The League Cup will begin in mid-July with the second round, when Celtic enter the competition, slated for August 19 and 20. The final will revert to its pre-Christmas slot having been delayed this season due to the winter World Cup.

The Scottish FA has yet to release fixture dates for the 2023-24 Scottish Cup while the SPFL intends to publish a full fixture list for the 2023-24 league season towards the end of June.
