Celtic youth prospect Rocco Vata was "watched by scouts" from AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Juventus as he made his debut during the Hoops' 4-0 victory at Easter Road.
This is according to a report by Italian outlet TMW, which claims that the Italian and German giants sent representatives to keep an eye on the forward.
The 17-year-old, who has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level, is also eligible to play for Scotland and Albania.
He has impressed for the B team this season, scoring 10 goals and providing one assist for the Lowland League side across 23 appearances.
Vata featured for the Scottish champions during pre-season and in the Sydney Super Cup and has been training with the first team at points this season.
He made his competitive debut in the 4-0 win over Hibs at Easter Road on Wednesday.
The only disappointment from the Parkhead side's dominant performance in the capital was that left-back Greg Taylor limped off injured.
However, Postecoglou was keen to reassure fans at full-time.
Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland, the Australian said: "I think he is OK. He felt a bit tired."
Later, he expanded slightly in his post-match media commitments.
He added: "Hopefully he’s OK. Just a bit tight. But I thought Bernabei was brilliant when he came on. He gave us some real energy on the left-hand side."
The 57-year-old also praised the Scotland international's pass which led to the Hoops winning a penalty in the second half.
"It is stuff we work on," he continued. "In the last couple of weeks, we have spoken about how our running has to be backed up with our passing. It was a great ball."
