Ange Postecoglou has provided a Celtic injury update ahead of tomorrow's Scottish Cup tie with Morton.

The Hoops welcome the Championship outfit to Parkhead in the fourth round of the competition.

Ahead of the match, Postecoglou has confirmed that Giorgos Giakoumakis has returned from injury after he missed out against St Mirren in midweek.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is also improving, but tomorrow's match will come too soon for him.

Anthony Ralston has suffered a setback and will also miss the cup clash at Parkhead.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist has been struggling with a calf knock, but he has also returned to training. Postecoglou did confirm that tomorrow's game would come too early for him, however.

Postecoglou has also reported progress in the transfer market and expects further news in the coming days.

The Scottish champions are reportedly closing in on a deal for 21-year-old South Korea striker Oh Hyeon-gyu, having also showed interest in his international colleague Cho Gue-sung.

When asked for an update, Postecoglou said: “At the moment, progress on incomings and outgoings but nothing confirmed yet. Obviously we are getting to the tail end of the window and I expect progress over the next few days.”

When asked if striker Giorgos Giakoumakis will still be a Celtic player by the end of January, Postecoglou said: “Until I know or hear otherwise, I expect them all to be Celtic players but there has been progress with all those kinds of issues. I guess over the next few days we will see how it all plays out.”
