Fleetwood Town have announced the signing of young midfielder Scott Robertson from Celtic on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The Cods say they had to fight off teams throughout the Football League pyramid for the signature of the 21-year-old, who has already managed to accrue more than 50 professional appearances in his career, including one in the Europa League for the Scottish champions against CFR Cluj.
Robertson, who spent time at Celtic with Brown, already knows the English Football League as he has spent time at Gillingham, Doncaster Rovers, and Crewe Alexandra.
Head coach Brown said on the signing: "He's a fantastic signing for the club and I'm delighted to get it over the line. I knew him from my time with Celtic and have had the opportunity to see him grow as a person and a player over the years.
"I'm sure he'll be great for the club. Both myself and Scott have a bond with Celtic and they were brilliant to deal with throughout the move."
Robertson will wear the number 10 shirt at the club and will be eligible for Saturday's League One clash between Fleetwood and Sheffield Wednesday, subject to international clearance.
