Celtic will host Hearts for the opening leg of the two cinch Premiership clubs’ double-header as Ange Postecoglou’s men look to maintain their nine-point lead over Glasgow rivals Rangers.

With 11 games left to play – and just six until the split takes effect – the league leaders are closing in on a second title in a row, while the Jambos will be hoping to strengthen their grip on third place.

The two teams will meet again at Tynecastle this weekend for the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup but before all that, there are three valuable points to be gained in Glasgow’s east end.

When is Celtic v Hearts?

Celtic face Hearts TODAY on Wednesday 8 March, with the game scheduled to kick-off at 7:45pm. It will be played at Parkhead before the two sets of players renew hostilities in Gorgie this weekend.

Is Celtic v Hearts on TV and can I stream it?

No, the Premiership match will not be shown on television as there are Champions League last-16 fixtures taking place and so there is a broadcasting blackout.

However, Celtic has chosen the game as one of its five pay-per-view matches this season that can be shown live. Supporters of either team can purchase a PPV pass for £12.99, while Hearts TV subscribers based outside the UK will be able to tune in.

Team news

Ange Postecoglou has almost a full complement of players to choose from, with only back-up goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist ruled out for the home side for this fixture.

The visitors will be without the services of striker Stephen Humphrys and midfielder Peter Haring, while full-back Alex Cochrane is also a doubt. Long-term absentees Craig Gordon, Beni Baningime, Liam Boyce, Craig Halkett and Gary Mackay-Steven will play no part in the match.
