Celtic captain Callum McGregor has opened up on the heightened emotions of his Celtic youth days and the different positions he has played during his time at the club.
The Hoops academy graduate, who made his first team debut for the Parkhead side in 2014, identified a particular Youth Cup final against Rangers as a significant moment in his development.
And the Scotland international also spoke about why his days of playing as a striker were brief.
He told the Celtic View Podcast: "I am not sure about that (playing as a striker). I might have been playing as a number 10 (in the 2011 Youth Cup final).
"It was something I did very rarely. I played a striker for a little bit at Notts County, maybe five or six games.
"I never scored in any of those games. It was more playing off the side and then I had a spell through the middle for five or six games but I was more used to coming on to the game or seeing the game rather than having my back to the game.
"I don’t think that really suited me. I was more likely to be on the bench or back in midfield.
"The emotions were probably higher (playing in derby matches) at a younger age to be honest. I always remember the scouts and the coaches would say ‘these are the games that will help you win your next contract.’
"So even at 13, 14 or 15 the coaches are watching these games and seeing can they make the step up and play well in these games, can they affect the game and how do they handle the occasion."
"Very early on you had a sense that these games were very important for both your development and progression through the academy.
"You had to bring your best on those days.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has revealed his favourite Celtic game as a youngster.
The self-confessed Hoops fan, who was a member of the club's youth academy before being released, identified one game in particular as being a key fixture in his childhood.
Robertson spoke about the Parkhead side's famous 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the Champions League.
When asked the question of his favourite match, he told Kammy & Ben's Proper Football Podcast: "I think it would either be the Liverpool Barcelona game, or it would be the Celtic Man United game at Parkhead when Nakamura scored the free kick and Artur Boruc it saved the penalty from Louis Saha."
