Former Celtic defender Jeremie Frimpong has opened up on his future after being linked with a move away from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Dutchman joined the Bundesliga side from the Hoops in January 2021 and was part of his national team squad for the recent World Cup in Qatar.

A recent report from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed the 22-year-old was "interested" in a switch to English giants Manchester United.

And now the right-back has addressed the speculation.

Speaking to German outlet SPORT1, he said: "I don't know when I'll decide on my future. I'm just focused on Leverkusen and upcoming matches."

Celtic reportedly have a sell-on fee believed to be worth 30 per cent of the profit on his next sale.

Meanwhile, Wellington Phoenix boss Ufuk Talay has praised Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, calling him "inspirational".

The 47-year-old, whose side currently sit fifth in the A-League, is a big fan of the former Yokohama F Marinos head coach.

Talay worked as youth coach for the Australia national team while Postecoglou was in charge of the Socceroos and he joked that having that experience under his belt will help him get a job abroad.

He told Australian outlet Keep Up: "There’s ways for them to be able to help … Ange is on my CV, just let you know!

"I can’t predict where I’ll end up, the aim is to try to get an overseas job, either in Asia or in Europe.

"Will that come to fruition? I don’t know, If I don’t get a job overseas, I need a job somewhere.

'It’s fantastic to see that they’re doing well because if our Australian coaches are doing well that possibly opens doors for us.

"I know Musky (Kevin Muscat) quite well and I worked with Ange when we worked on the national team.

"A very inspirational figure and a very good coach at the same time."
