Matt O'Riley has attracted "serious interest" from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs this season, according to a report.

The Hoops midfielder has four goals and 12 assists to his name in all competitions this season.

He netted a brace against Kilmarnock last weekend during Celtic's 4-1 at Rugby Park.

The 22-year-old joined from MK Dons in January last year.

He started his Hoops career in impressive fashion, slotting into the team as smoothly as a duck would take to water.

However, he has come under criticism at points from the Parkhead faithful this term for some underwhelming performances.

With that said, he continues to play a key role under Ange Postecoglou.

But not only is his manager impressed with him. Clubs across Europe are starting to show an interest in the attacking midfielder too ahead of the summer transfer window.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Premier League and Bundesliga sides are keeping tabs on O'Riley.

He tweeted: "Matt O’Riley, understood to be happy at Celtic even after a few Premier League and Bundesliga clubs have shown serious interest in him.

"The 22-year-old midfielder has 16 goals/assists for Celtic this season."

O'Riley is contracted at Celtic Park until the summer of 2026.

Meanwhile, Kaoru Mitoma has detailed why he chose to sign for Brighton over Celtic in 2021.

The 25-year-old was a prime target of Ange Postecoglou when he arrived at Parkhead almost two years ago.

He recently revealed how the Hoops were close to signing the attacker, only for Brighton to swoop in with a £2.5million deal instead.
