This is the bizarre moment a 'water fight' broke out during Celtic's Scottish Cup semi-final triumph over Rangers.

In the first half - during a stoppage in play for Malik Tillman to receive treatment - Rangers players were spotted taking on water after a frantic opening period at Hampden.

A short clip from the Viaplay broadcast coverage of the match then shows Reo Hatate enter frame in search of some water.

Todd Cantwell - who had sipped some water and poured some over his head - was intent to stop Hatate from pinching a drink from the Ibrox supply.

The short clip shows Cantwell prevent Hatate from taking water from a Rangers physio's bag before throwing the kit aside.

Hatate, however, wouldn't be deterred as he drifted away before returning to stroll past Cantwell and snag a bottle of water.

The midfielder can be seen walking through Rangers bodies to pick up a bottle from the turf after his initial refusal.

And while Hatate was first denied by Cantwell, he was sure to inform James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos that he was going to take the bottle which appeared to have been brought on by medical staff.

The pair seem uninterested as Hatate sauntered off to take a drink while Cantwell watched the incident unfold from a few feet away.
