Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Cameron Carter-Vickers will be back for the start of next season, in a major boost for the Hoops.
The Celtic manager, speaking to Sky Sports, gave a positive update about the defender, outlining the importance of the American international in his side.
He said: "He’s had the surgery, he’s on his way back and it went really well and he’ll be alright for the start of the season, I’m sure. It’s a great boost.
"He was really keen to play up until last weekend. He knew how important that was in the context of our season and he's a very important part of our set-up and our team.
"He’s been carrying that injury for quite a while and at the same time he’s never used it as an excuse for a performance.
"He’s just got on with things and been outstanding. It’s good for him because now he knows he can get himself ready for pre-season and ready to go for next year knowing he’s contributed significantly to what’s happened this year.”

Carter-Vickers was originally signed on loan from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day in 2021. His towering performances at the back for Postecoglou’s revitalised side ensured that Celtic dished out a reported £6million to secure his services permanently.
An ever-present in the Hoops defence alongside fellow central defender Carl Starfelt, he looks set to win a second Scottish Premiership medal in as many years.
The defender put in an impressive display last weekend against fierce rivals Rangers, as his performance earned him the Player of the Match award, as well as a Scottish Cup final place for his team.
