Joe Hart admits winning the league at Tynecastle made it all the sweeter for Celtic.

Ange Postecoglou's side defeated Hearts 2-0 yesterday in the capital and as a result, were officially crowned champions of the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic had just 1,200 fans at the game, due to Hearts cutting away allocations due to the number of season tickets they have.

Post-match on the support, Hart said: “The fans are amazing, they go everywhere with us.

“It’s even sweeter to come to a stadium where they’ve tried to have as few in as possible.”

On the game itself, Hart continued: "It's a club that never gets bored of this and I love that, I feed off this.

"It's not just, 'Oh I'll try and win one', it's try and win, win, win together.

"You've got to celebrate, it's a time to be happy, a time to enjoy. We've deserved to win this league and we've won it as soon as possible.

"It's a fantastic team. there's a naivety about us, we're there to be moulded. We've got a superb leader, every single one of us has come into this with our ears open. I'm ready to learn. I'm 36 now and I love coming in every day to learn, be around these players. Everyone is trying to be a better footballer, a better human and trying to have a good time."

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou hailed his title-winning squad for showing the hunger to be even better in their second season together and setting “ridiculous” standards.

He added: “After the success of last year, you wonder, it’s still a young group, is the hunger going to be there, are they going to be as motivated?

“From the first day of pre-season they came back, they wanted to be a better team, they wanted to be a stronger team.

“I just think they have maintained a ridiculous standard this year of performance, results, it’s just been incredible.

“I have rarely had to intervene at any stage to get them back on track. I have had the easiest job in the world in terms of allowing these guys to drive how good they want to be, players and staff. I am just super proud.”
