Celtic could be set to raid the Japanese market for Albirex Niigata midfielder Ryotaro Ito.
Ange Postecoglou is reportedly keen on bolstering his squad in the midfield area again, according to the Daily Record.
Ito is an attacking midfielder and fits the bill for the newly-crowned Scottish champions as he has six goals and two assists from 14 appearances this season and has been involved in 62 per cent of Niigata's goals and has started every game except one.
The 25-year-old has played a key role in helping his side return to the J1 League with nine goals and 11 assists from 42 appearances in the last campaign and was named as one of the top players in the J2 League.
Ito previously turned out for Urawa Red Diamonds - who were interested in signing former Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis - where he won the J League Cup and the AFC Champions League.
Postecoglou has utilised the Japanese market with great success so during his two years in Scotland.
He has an incredible strike rate after bringing Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and more recently Tomoki Iwata and Yuki Kobayashi to the club.
Both Kyogo and Hatate have played an integral part in the club's domination of the domestic silverware under Postecoglou and the duo have been named in the running for this year's PFA Scotland Player of the Year award.

Meanwhile, the Hoops travel to Ibrox for the final Glasgow Derby of the season.
The Scottish champions are looking to go a full campaign unbeaten against Rangers for the first time in over five years.
Postecoglou's men are also on a three-match winning streak against their rivals after recent victories in the Scottish Cup semi-final, in the league at Parkhead and in the League Cup final.
Finally, Celtic Women breathed new life into their quest for a first ever Scottish Women's Premier League title with a 3-1 win over Glasgow City at Celtic Park on Wednesday night in front of a record-breaking crowd of 9,553 for a women's football match in Scotland.
Second-half goals from Natasha Flint, Claire O'Riordan and Katherine Loferski saw Fran Alonso's side storm back from a goal down at the interval thanks to Lauren Davidson's opener for City to claim a crucial three points.
The Hoops now lie in second spot in the table just two points off league leaders Glasgow City but with a better goal difference than third-placed Rangers.
With two games to go, Alonso's side took a huge step towards beating City to the league title with race almost certain to go down to a final day shoot-out involving three teams - Glasgow City, Celtic and Rangers.
