Celtic's two-man shortlist to replace Ange Postecoglou has been revealed.

Brendan Rodgers and Jesse Marsch are 'two of the names in the frame' to fill the role which is soon to be vacated by Ange Postecoglou.

Sky Sports claim that former Hoops boss Rodgers could well be in line for a return to Glasgow, while ex-Leeds manager Marsch could also be the right man for them.

It's believed that Celtic are already working on Postecoglou's potential successor.

A return for Rodgers would certainly prove to be controversial because of the circumstances in which he left for Leicester City in February 2019.

The Irishman certainly attracted a lot of criticism from the Hoops supporter for leaving mid-season, with the club on track to achieve the treble Treble.

But if they were to acquire his services again, Celtic would have another top manager on their hands.

Marsch earned plenty of praise for his high-energy style of football during his time working at RB Salzburg, which eventually saw him take over at Elland Road.

He took over from Marcelo Biela at Leeds last year and kept them up on the final day, but ultimately was sacked this season, as the club were eventually relegated.

It comes as Postecoglou has been granted permission to hold talks with Spurs. 

He supposedly informed Celtic's majority shareholder Dermot Desmond that he wanted to head for the bright lights of the Premier League after Saturday's Scottish Cup win over Inverness.

That victory secured a historic eighth treble for the club, and Postecoglou's fifth trophy out of six available during his two years in Scotland.
