Jota has broken his silence after completing his transfer exit from Celtic.

The Portuguese winger, 24, signed a lucrative contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.

Celtic netted a significant transfer fee - thought to be in the region of £25million - for Jota just one year on from making his move to Parkhead permanent.

However, a portion of the profits will be due to Benfica due to a clause in his transfer to Celtic.

Al-Ittihad revealed the news of Jota signing last night with a bizarre reveal video on social media.

And Celtic confirmed the transfer had been finalised with a short statement.

It read: "After two seasons with the club, one on loan from Benfica and one on a full contract, Portuguese winger, Jota has left Celtic to join Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ittihad.

"In his time in the Hoops, Jota won two league titles as well as picking up winner’s medals in both the Scottish and League Cups.

"Everyone at Celtic Football Club wishes Jota success in his future career."

Now, Jota has broken his silence since completing the Saudi switch as he hailed new club Al-Ittihad as the biggest in Asia.

But there was no mention of Celtic in the post on Tuesday afternoon.

Jota's Instagram post read: "Yallaaaa!!! @ittihadclub.sa

"So excited to have join the Champions of Saudi and the biggest club in Asia.

"Can’t wait to meet you all in Jeddah and thank you for the warm Welcome.

"An adventure is about to start. 💛🖤
