Wantaway Celtic target Yang Hyun-jun looks set to get his move to Scotland following comments from his current club's CEO.
The forward, 21, has been vocal regarding his wish to leave K1 League strugglers Gangwon FC in favour of a move to the Scottish champions. However, the South Korean club have been reluctant to sell their prized asset, as they find themselves second-bottom of the league.
However, there seems to be a change of heart from Kim Byung-ji regarding the player. The Gangwon chief executive said to local media (as quoted in the Daily Record): "I have met with Yang. I still believe in the skills he has.
"However, we have to consider the impact of the current situation on the club as well as on the player himself. This is a positive message.
"A contract is only possible when the details are negotiated. No one knows what will happen in the middle of the process. However, both clubs and players are reviewing it positively.”
Yang has struggled so far this season, mirroring his team's performance in the league.
Across 21 appearances this year the forward has just one goal and assist to his name, compared to the eight goals and four assists he managed the previous campaign.
If he joins the Hoops, he will likely be competing with fellow new recruit Marco Tilio for the right-wing position in Brendan Rodgers' team. The Australia international, who is also 21, made the move from Melbourne City last week, signing a five-year deal with the club.

Meanwhile, it is understood that Rangers are set to offer Celtic an allocation for the first Glasgow Derby of the season.
Reports claim that 700 tickets will be handed to Celtic for the game at Ibrox on Sunday September 3.
Previously, a total of roughly 7000 away spectators were allowed tickets for each side. However, since this rule was scrapped in 2018, travelling support has plummeted in numbers, with the two teams currently in a stalemate in negotiations.
Because of this, the last two Scottish Premiership Glasgow Derby matches have had no away supporters present at both ground respectively.
