Chris Sutton was having none of Robbie Savage's "disrespectful" comments over Celtic star Kyogo's potential to play in the Premier League.

The Hoops talisman again shone as Brendan Rodgers' side defeated Aberdeen 3-1 at Pittodrie.

He didn't have his busiest game, but one lapse in concentration from Dons defender Nicky Devlin was enough for the Japanese forward to pounce, firing home with a brilliant finish.

Overall, during his two years spent in Glasgow, he's been a sensation. He's scored 56 goals across his spell so far.

He finished as the league's top scorer last season and was also crowned player of the year. He was the joint-top scorer in his debut campaign.

Kyogo has since been linked with moves to the Premier League and other top divisions abroad due to his fantastic form.

Sutton is of the belief that the 28-year-old is simply indispensable for his former club.

And he was quick to put down fellow pundit Savage when he asked if the frontman could "do a job" in England's top flight.

Speaking on their 606 phone-in show, Savage said: "Celtic's top goalscorer from last season, Kyogo, is unsurprisingly being linked to Spurs, could he do a job in the Premier League?"

Sutton responded: "Could he do a job in the Premier League? Is that a serious question?

"Come, on, let's move on. That is disrespectful Robbie, have you seen him play? A brilliant finisher. From Celtic's perspective, they cannot sell their star man."
