According to reports in Saudi Arabia, former Celtic star Jota could be set to miss out on Al-Ittihad's squad list.
The winger joined the Saudi Arabian champions earlier this summer for £25million but has struggled to make an impact in the Middle East.
He has received very little game time for the Tigers and is yet to start a league fixture.
With a limit on the number of European players that can be registered by the club, the 24-year-old could be deemed surplus to requirements.
Reports previously stated that the forward could leave on a free transfer, but with the Saudi Arabian window set to close on Thursday, it looks like Jota could be without a place in the squad.

His move to Nuno Espirito Santo's side saw old club Benfica bank 30 per cent of the sell-on fee.
And now figures released via Portuguese outlet Record show the final amount The Eagles received for the winger.
As well as the £6.5 million Celtic paid for his services in the summer of 2022, Benfica took in the same amount again when Jota moved to Saudi Arabia.
