Dawn French is a comedian and actress who has had an extensive career on TV in the UK.

Many would have also been aware she was married to fellow comedian Lenry Henry for 25 years between 1984 and 2009.

They had met on the alternative comedy circuit and ended up adopting a daughter, called Billie.

However, the couple ended up separating in the late 2000s, with the divorce being finalised in 2010.

Dawn French is now married to charity executive Mark Bignell, and they began dating in 2011.

Bignell is co-founder of drug rehabilitation charity, Hamoaze House, also founded by French's late mother, Roma.

In 2013 it was reported they had married and they reside in Fowey, Cornwall.

As reported by Cornwall Live French spoke about finding love again after her split from Henry.

She said: "I thought, 'Oh God, what do I do now? Do I have to do dating? How repulsive. I'll have to buy new pants. I did do some dating and it was excruciating and difficult as I'm not an accomplished flirter.

"Then, bang, I met somebody else. I started to claim my life back. It's a life with him.

"I know that I will make a good life for myself with all sorts of things as armour. Including stuff my new chap is teaching me that I never knew.

"Now my life is in Cornwall with him. I hope it is a life together."
