Celtic hero John Hartson has given thoughts on whether Jota could return to the club during the January window.
The Portuguese winger joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad during the summer for £25million but has struggled to make an impact in the Middle East.
Jota was unable to be included in the club's league squad due to the foreign players quota already being met.
This has meant the 24-year-old has only been available for cup fixtures and while Hartson would love to see the forward return to Parkhead he feels it is unlikely.
Speaking to Go Radio, he said: "Well, I think that supporters would definitely like to see it happening it’s just whether the club can structure the deal.

“Let’s not forget how good he was under Ange. We got him on loan from Benfica as a young lad. Not very not much experience not many first-team appearances for Benfica and he came into the club and he was absolutely terrific.
“Personally, I can’t see it happening but if there’s a deal there and the clubs get together and Jota wants to come back and the club wants him to come back.
"He’s gone to Saudi, he’s not enjoying it and he’s not playing regularly. I can’t see it happening, but I think that will be one that would excite the fans.”
