Everything Callum McGregor and Mikey Johnston had to say in their post-match interview with Sky Sports after Celtic's 3-1 victory over St Johnstone...
Thoughts on the game?
CM: We did not do ourselves justice at all in the first half and the manager gave us our character at half time. It was nowhere near good enough for a Celtic team and he asked for us a reaction in the second half and we scored three good goals. Joe [Hart] makes a massive save for us at 2-1 and then we go and finish the game off. It was match of two halves but we produced a really good reaction.
What did the equaliser do?
CM: Sometimes you just need a moment like that. I thought we started the second half really well and were probing and just trying to get that opportunity. Once the goal comes, then the place gets a lift, the supporters get a lift and the players just start to move quicker and play with more aggression. It was an important goal and there were two other important finishes as well.
How important a contribution did the man beside you make when he came on at half time?
CM: He was outstanding, to be honest with you. He has been training like that for a while and it was great to see him back in there making a huge contribution. He gave us a great contribution as well and his quality on the ball was everything we want from a winger so we are really delighted for him
How much confidence does it give you when you come on and make a difference?
MJ: Definitely, my chances have been limited and when I do get a chance then I have to make an impact and show that I deserve to be playing.
What did the manager say to you at half time?
MJ: Not much. We needed a sort of spark and obviously we started slow in the first half. Sometimes it can be hard to come to places like this. I just wanted to make an impact and try to help the team.
Do you feel that performance keeps you in the manager's thoughts?
MJ: Definitely but it is all about the team and obviously every player wants to play so every time I get the opportunity I need to take it,
