Former Celtic star Jota is headed for West Ham, according to a report.

Media outlets in the Middle East state that an agreement has been reached between Al-Ittihad and the Premier League club.

The 24-year-old has endured somewhat of a nightmare during his six-month stint in Saudi Arabia.

The Hoops sold the Portuguese winger in June for a whopping £25m.

However, having been cut from the champions' domestic squad in September, Jota has managed just 11 appearances for the club. He's only been eligible to feature in the Club World Cup and AFC Champions League.

He's been looking for a way out this month in order to get his career back on track - and it seems David Moyes has offered him a pathway.

Foot Mercato journalist Sani Aouna states that the Hammers have agreed on a deal with the player after positive talks between the two clubs.

West Ham are desperate for more attacking options as they aim to continue their positive season to date.

It remains to be seen whether the deal will be a permanent move or just a loan switch for now. It's believed Ittihad are keen to recoup the majority of their hefty outlay for Jota in the summer.

Meanwhile, Neil McCann told Charlie Mulgrew he was 'appalled' by his view on Corrie Ndaba's red card for Kilmarnock on Saturday.

The left-back was given his marching orders by Grant Irvine after a VAR check convinced the referee to upgrade the yellow card initially flashed in the way of the on-loan Ipswich man.

The 24-year-old undoubtedly won the ball in his strong challenge on Hibernian's Jair Tavares, however, VAR, and then Irvine, clearly felt his follow-through merited a red.

Killie boss Derek McInnes made his feelings on the matter clear post-match, pointing out that the decision changed the course of the game as Hibs managed to secure a 2-2 draw at Rugby Park.
