Chris Sutton has sent Celtic a transfer warning over a potential move for Norwich striker Adam Idah.
The Irish forward, 22, is reportedly close to a loan move to Parkhead for the remainder of the season.
The Daily Record claims Celtic are nearing a loan deal with an option to sign the attacker on a permanent deal.
It's thought Celtic could land the striker this month despite interest from England and Europe.
However, Celtic hero Sutton has been left unconvinced by the transfer speculation as he warned Idah is "a long way from the finished article".
And the former Celtic striker also stated Idah might not even be an upgrade on current Parkhead back-up forward Oh Hyeon-gyu.

On X, formerly Twitter, Sutton wrote: "If this is true I’m not sure with the greatest respect it’s an upgrade on Oh…
"Idah needs to get away from Norwich and has potential but has had potential for years but he’s 100% in the development category and a long way from the finished article."
Rodgers has been keen on reinforcements in the final third with Daizen Maeda currently on international duty with Japan at the Asian Cup.
Reo Hatate is also on international duty with his country with Marco Tilio also at the tournament for Australia.
Celtic already signed Nicolas Kuhn this month from Rapid Vienna on a five-and-a-half-year deal.
The German youth international - who counts Ajax and Bayern Munich in his former clubs - made his debut for Celtic in the 1-0 win over Ross County at the weekend.
